Bill S-211: Fighting Against Forced & Child Labour

FREE GPC Webinar!

Canada’s Bill S211, Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act, came into force on January 1, 2024, requiring applicable Canadian entities (public, private and government institutions) to publicly report on efforts to address modern slavery in their supply chains. As the first deadline fast approaches (May 2024) and requires Board approval, many organizations are facing challenges on how to navigate the new regulatory compliance requirements and the nuances of combating forced and child labor in a global supply chain.

Join us for a dynamic, multi-lens discussion on what the Act may mean for you and how some organizations are addressing the governance of modern slavery. Our panellists will discuss best practices in mitigating modern slavery risks in the supply chain, balancing board and management accountability, disclosure and oversight, and practical lessons learned from first submissions. Governance professionals attending the session will better understand what is required by Management and their Boards and actionable insights necessary to meet the evolving regulatory obligations and stakeholder pressures.
