Tanya Laschuk

Tanya Laschuk, GPC, is currently the Assistant Corporate Secretary for Elexicon Energy Inc., where she has been supporting boards and their committees for over 16 years, contributing to the development of innovative governance processes and practices, and providing governance operations and process leadership across the organization. Tanya is a proactive and collaborative partner to the CEO and executive leadership, offering insight, options, and strategies that support informed and forward-looking decision-making.

Tanya plays a key role in core governance functions, including governance advisory, director onboarding and recruitment, governance frameworks, M&A and due diligence support, and the development of high-quality board materials. She also works closely with the Insurance Manager in overseeing the organization’s insurance program, including applications and managing major claims.

Known for bringing new ideas and strengthening governance practices, Tanya builds strong relationships with directors, executives, and stakeholders while fostering mentorship and growth within her support team. She also serves on the Board of Pathwise Credit Union. She participates in multiple committees and subcommittees of Governance Professionals of Canada, as well as mentoring emerging leaders through the Women in Risk and Governance Leadership Group (WRLG).

A GPC.D–certified governance professional, Tanya also holds the ILCO law clerk certification. She is an active member of several distinguished professional organizations, including the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario (ILCO), and Governance Professionals of Canada (GPC).
